The Bizarre World of Welsh Bin Dipping Artist

markrobla (14)

If you’ve ever been wandering around Wrexham and wondered why a bloke has planted himself inside a bin.

Or why somebody’s having a kip in a makeshift hammock outside Poundland.

Or why somebody’s just jammed their head through the iron fence outside the army recruitment office.

Then you’ll be experiencing some of the weird art created by Markrobla. He’s a 26-year-old artist who’s been making life in Wrexham a little less boring recently with his surreal sculpture things.

What’s scary is just how easily his weird dummy installations blend into an increasingly odd town centre: empty shops, alchies and the occasional murder.

One of his recent figures, the fella stuck inside the bin, was reported on by the Daily Post. The best comment was from one passer-by who said:

Have to say, I wouldn’t have offered help as I presumed he was a drunk, but I would have taken a pic for Facebook.
